The Beautiful Blogist

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 26, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 26, 2007

In my experiments with the Law of Attraction, I have been putting forth the intention of knowing and/or recognizing who my perfect partner is by how I feel, since that is both THE strongest and MY strongest sense that connects me to Higher Self and truth, and because it is connected to those brain chemicals that so often deny me the falling-in-love experience. I also know that it is a way for me to recognize my kindreds, as I resonate well only with those who are on a similar path and want similar thingsThat said, I am feeling something inexplicable … Continue reading →

Kairos

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 23, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliNovember 28, 2011

I’ve been working on Baggage all day. Made some good progress with the language, the prose aspects. Spent time finding more specific ways to convey different aspects. And I’ve been integrating everything from random musings to dreams into the book, too. Snippets of conversations that play out in my head when I’m about to doze off…. I discovered this fabulous word today::: Kairos. (kay-ross). It’s an ancient Greek word meaning the “right or opportune moment” or “God’s time.” It’s that undetermined time “in between” linear time in which something “special” happens….I used it in the manuscript today, even though i … Continue reading →

My Muse Still Breathes

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 22, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliJanuary 26, 2013

All authors get to a point in their writing life, where they feel they have plumbed the depths of the well the Muse provides, and begin to doubt that they have anything else to offer. This is usually a case of stagnation within the milieu of new experience. Without new input, new contrasts in our day to day lives, we can only reiterate what we have already learned. I had reached this point a few weeks ago. I feared that the 12 books I have in print and the 2 I’m almost finished with, were to be the last. … Continue reading →

No, the Other Baggage…

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 22, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliNovember 28, 2011

I sat down with my coffee and noticed no mail yet from the source of my current vexation. Within 5 minutes, (last night after our phone call, I sent the txt: Thank u for being u. I get a text from her- Got ur txt. : Training 2day, No email. grr. I text back: Rats! Guess I’ll work on writing, music, sculpture & my self. Have a good day! . . . So I’m spending the day trying to be productive. I have to stop obsessing on this woman. Baggage still needs another 20,000 words or more, unless I’m … Continue reading →

All The World’s A Stage…

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 21, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 8, 2012

As a person who embraces Spiritual Metaphysics as a belief system, I always try to find correlations. I look for the details that will bring sense to the senseless, or enlightenment to the confusion. One thing I have recently added to my understanding is that astrology is much more than the position of a planet when your were born. There is a deeper meaning. I think we are all born under the signs that will facilitate the growth we need to have. So maybe it’s not so much “I’m a Gemini, I’m just that way” but “I’m a Gemini and … Continue reading →

The CircleCircleCircle Fiasco

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 15, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 15, 2007

I was never so bored in the bedroom in my life! She said she hated toys, and hated penetration, and hated this or that….and it had to be done just-so—way too many boundaries….it was basically oral and tribadism for the sex act…she said even fingers were uncomfortable. (OMG, BECKY)… I told her I’d had my fingers in there a couple of times when she was relaxed, and i KNEW there wasn’t a size issue…. To make matters worse, she demanded that i do a certain thing during oral:: “CircleCircleCircle…” at the exact same speed, for a prolonged amount of time, … Continue reading →

Meltdowns, Irony & my Achilles Heel

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 11, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 11, 2007

Fear is not the antecedent of abundance. I had another mini-meltdown last night. . . when I say meltdown, I don’t mean anything huge. . .just angst, tears, frustration, some sadness. . . It was in regard to someone I’ve been engaging. Some things have come up in my consciousness. I was aware of these things, but realized I was not thinking about them–purposely avoiding them, because to believe in that reality would suck away the good emotions I was having about talking to this womanthe Beautiful Blogist. She lives in another state, and after numerous lengthy emails about pretty … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"If a UFO did land, and invite me onboard, I'd love to have the guts to go in. So, I search the skies for extra testicles."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Quotes for Writers

"Your willingness to revise well and revise deep is the thing that will deliver your draft from the creamy loins of the story angels" ~ Chuck Wendig, 250 things You Should Know About Writing

Word of the Day

veldtvelt the open country, bearing grass, bushes, or shrubs, or thinly forested, characteristic of parts of southern Africa.

Favorite Quotes

“Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery, any depression, since after all you don't know what work these conditions are doing inside you? Why do you want to persecute yourself with the question of where all this is coming from and where it is going? Since you know, after all, that you are in the midst of transitions and you wished for nothing so much as to change. If there is anything unhealthy in your reactions, just bear in mind that sickness is the means by which an organism frees itself from what is alien; so one must simply help it to be sick, to have its whole sickness and to break out with it, since that is the way it gets better.” ~ Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
