Bad Knees & Deliveries

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 6, 2020 by Kelli Jae BaeliNovember 3, 2020

Okay, so my day so far: Because the VA again dropped the ball on my healthcare, I had to order my own crutches, knee braces, and Kinesiotape to treat my MCL/ACL issues. I saw that they were to be delivered on Friday, not Wednesday. So I get on chat with Amazon (which I really hard to find. They bury it very well) and asked why I pay for Prime membership to get 2-day shipping, when the shipping always seems to take 5-days. They explained about warehouses and that it’s really counted from when it leaves, not when I order it, … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

Every novelist should sit down at the keyboard with blood on their hands. To know what it feels like to have been wronged and to have wronged. To be guilty and innocent. A novelist must have truly lived her life–sucked the marrow, tended the wounds, lashed out in fear and anger, in order to write a story that speaks authentically at deeper levels; that explores human nature and the human condition in all its beauty and ugliness. A novelist must have experienced life–that visceral knowledge that comes only from having felt the range of emotions, discovered the myriad permutations of challenge and question and suffering and joy.

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Favorite Quotes

There is a moment when all hope disappears, all pride is gone, all expectation, all faith, all desire. I own that moment. It belongs to me. That's when I hear the sound, the sound of a mind breaking.

It's not a loud crack like when bones shatter or a spine fractures or a skull collapses. And it's not something soft and wet like a heart breaking. It's a sound that makes you wonder how much pain a person can endure; a sound that shatters memories and lets the last leak into the present; a sound so high that only the hounds of hell can hear it.

Can you hear it? Someone is curled up in a tiny ball crying softly into an endless night. ~Michael Robotham, in Shatter

I'm so glad that @Lawrence is slamming the unprofessional and dangerous misinformation and bandwagon mentality of the mainstream media. They deserve to be slammed. #CrimesAgainstJournalism

The WaPo reports that among the items that the FBI was looking for in its search of Trump’s home were NUCLEAR DOCUMENTS.
Can somebody please remind me precisely why the Saudis held their golf tournament at Trump's resort, and why they gave Kushner $2B?

My mattress sags on the side, and I used to use pool noodles for that but they are hellaciously expensive now. I have adjustable platform, so I need something supportive but bendy. Suggestions?
