Creativity, Intelligence & Depressive Realism

Posted on December 26, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliJune 30, 2012

From a Facebook post I made, a thought-provoking subject emerged. Jae Baeli : “Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know.” ~ Ernest Hemingway Tina Harada likes this. Amanda Gulledge I frowned when I read that so I would feel more intelligent. Candace Lynn Breaux Is that why I am unhappy so much of the time? LOL Jae Baeli LOL. Amanda–you crack me up. Candy–probably, yes. Victoria Bard love it…so true! Sandi Partee hmmm…so does that mean I’m not intelligent? Cause I’m happy as a lark! LOL! I understand Sandi’s reply was meant lightly, but let me just … Continue reading →

If a Woodchuck Could Chuck YOU.

Posted on November 28, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 11, 2013

Was meeting a friend at a local pub I like a lot, even though it’s often noisy as hell, and I picked out a booth to wait for my friend to arrive. The waitress gave me a glare when I sat down at the table that still had the paid ticket and the dirty dishes. I had never had a rude waitress there, so gave her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she wasn’t looking at me. Then it took her a full five minutes to get over there and clean the table off, and I wondered. When I tried … Continue reading →

The Truth is Ever Clear

Posted on February 3, 2008 by Kelli Jae BaeliFebruary 3, 2008

It is with a renewed sense of disillusionment that i tap these words out; it’s a morse code into the universe, a plea for sanity, a prayer for humanity. Melodrama, perhaps? Sure. But i really do feel that way. I feel that it is more and more difficult to find people who are stable and self-actualized; who don’t have a cartful of baggage, rather than just a carry-on; and who would never look you in the eye and lie. My previous relationship was a large learning experience for me, as all my relationships are, platonic or otherwise. I choose to … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"If I had two nickels to rub together I'd have to choose between buying something to eat and making a fire."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

The Bible is the greatest hoax in all history. The leading characters of the Old Testament would today be in the penitentiary and those of the New would be under observation in psychopathic wards.
