Okay, so my day so far: Because the VA again dropped the ball on my healthcare, I had to order my own crutches, knee braces, and Kinesiotape to treat my MCL/ACL issues. They bury it very well) and asked why I pay for Prime membership to get 2-day shipping, when the shipping always seems to take 5-days. They explained about warehouses and that it’s really counted from when it leaves, not when I order it, … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

Rush Limbaugh invited Obama to appear on his show and speak without a teleprompter. As if Obama is incapable of freestyling his words. Obama is perfectly capable of speaking without a script. Just like Rush Limbaugh is capable of speaking without a brain.

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Quotes for Writers

I try to create sympathy for my characters, then turn the monsters loose. ~ Stephen King

Word of the Day

loidloyd To open a locked door by sliding a thin piece of celluloid or plastic between the door edge and doorframe to force open a spring lock.

Favorite Quotes

Nurture an appetite for being puzzled, for being confused, indeed for being openly stupid, and that--despite what you may think--is very difficult. We all know the cliche that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. It is also true that a lot of knowledge can be a dangerous thing as well. Use your ignorance as well as your knowledge for creative means.
~ Lee C. Bollinger

Melania Trump did not write her own thank you notes to the White House residence staff who have cared for her and her family for the last four years. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/20/politics/melania-trump-thank-you-notes/index.html

One small scoop for man, one giant movement for the ocean. 40% of the plastic produced is used for packaging, used just once & then discarded. As important as cleaning the ocean is, we must remember to refuse single-use plastic whenever we can as consumers. ⠀
