Beady Eyes in the Trees:
what the fuck is that?

Posted on June 1, 2019 by Kelli Jae BaeliJune 1, 2019

So, the other night, my wife and I were taking the dogs out and I had on my headlamp, as usual I always look around first, just in case. Not only have there been reports of coyotes trotting down our street, but we have all kinds of critters in the area, because we are surrounded by wooded areas– Possums, raccoons, foxes, armadillos….and I’m just cautious that way. I don’t like walking into a dark area, or having the dogs do that, without knowing what’s out there. Anyhoo….I was waiting, and sweeping my light around the trees, and noticed some beady … Continue reading →

FALL IN LOVE WITH LESFIC SALE

Posted on October 20, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliOctober 20, 2017

I don’t know about you, but it’s hard for me to stay focused on work this time of year. With nighttime falling earlier and the temperature getting chillier, all I want to do is log off the computer and curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, a cozy blanket, my grouchy but lovable cat at my feet, and a book. I need to stock up on books for winter. How about you? Eleven authors (including me) have joined forces to keep you entertained at rock-bottom prices. Below, you’ll find all the goodies on offer. Before I get … Continue reading →

Projects, Pitfalls, Promise

Posted on July 31, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliSeptember 11, 2020

Shame on me. I haven’t posted a blog in a long time. SO much going on with us lately. Dealing with sudden health issues happening all at once, burned out, exhausted, feeling ill all the time, I was certainly not inspired to write. So I decided to take a 6-month sabbatical. It turned into 8 months when I found out in the middle of it I needed major surgery. So, I had to face my #2 biggest fear, (surgery) and I’ve been recovering from a full abdominal hysterectomy, and after almost 8 weeks, I’m still having some issues, which I … Continue reading →

Why I changed my Pinterest boards to SECRET

Posted on April 17, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliSeptember 9, 2017

Today I had a revelation. I had forgotten to address a very big problem that had recently applied elsewhere. One I had addressed already in the obvious places, but overlooked for a while. I switched almost all of my Pinterest boards to secret. At first, I was horrified to think I was going to have to delete them all and start over, or cancel my account to prevent a looming disaster. Only recently did Pinterest offer a solution to the legal quagmire they so blithely pied-piper’d us into. By now, you’ve probably guessed I’m referring to copyright infringement. Thankfully, Pinterest … Continue reading →

Domino Bones

Posted on March 26, 2013 by Kelli Jae BaeliMay 6, 2013

…Average Morning Weirdness… This morning, I rolled over to greet my honey, as she sat down on the bed (she almost always rises before I do). I heard three pops–one in my right shoulder, one in my neck, one in my left shoulder. I made some comment like, “Oh, my crunchy joints…they pop in sequence…it’s like dominoes. I have Domino Bones.” Then, I realized how much I liked the phrase. Domino Bones. “Sounds like the name of a canyon in Montana,” I say. Then put on my announcer voice: “They were lost in the canyon of Domino Bones and had … Continue reading →

Author Site redesigned

Posted on July 1, 2012 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 6, 2013

I redesigned my author site. Again. I know, like I haven’t done that a million times before. But needs change as my writing continues to evolve. Mostly, the redesign was necessary because I now have published stories and articles, and have 27 books. Plus, I also include my music. (I also have plans to integrate my art site into it somewhere, but ill do that later). At any rate, the landing page was getting way too much of a clusterfuck. So now I’ve managed to streamline it with this new landing page, and I think it makes it much faster … Continue reading →

Devout Follower seeks Advice from Dr. Laura….

Posted on December 27, 2009 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 7, 2013

Dear Dr. Laura,   Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.   I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know … Continue reading →

Satan believes in God, therefore God exists

Posted on September 11, 2009 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 7, 2013

From Mothrust.com, the following delightful exchange. Apparently I do believe in God, I just won’t admit to it. One cocky seventeen year old fellow, Micah Sonatra, (Deven Hoffpauir, with his truly kitschy myspace) who I thought was a middle-aged lady, said that it was obvious God existed because even Lucifer believes in God – that was the crux of his argument. What the..! Stating that one imaginary character exists because another imaginary character believes it exists is like saying, “Of course Santa Clause is real, heck… even the tooth fairy knows that”. ——- — – Sonatra: You see, you have … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"I believe we're on the cusp of Critical Mass. Like the Cuban Missile Crisis. What We The People do at this juncture might mean the difference between becoming a fascist state & saving our Country from the brink of annihilation. Why is it even possible that some will not vote?"

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Since they work for the government, they should be forced to, or be relieved of duty.

Exploding Space Pillow Singh, MD 🌊@labyrinthweaver

Nearly 40% of US Marines are declining Covid-19 vaccinations. Unfortunate that those who protect us refuse to protect themselves. And I am sure they are mostly men.

Agreed. And while we're at it, can we stop saying "Sex with a minor" and instead state this accurately as Statutory Rape?

Rabbi Michael Adam Latz #BlackLivesMatter@RavMABAY

Look folks-I get the Matt Gaetz jokes about using Venmo to buy minor purchases seem clever. But they aren’t. He’s charged with sex trafficking CHILDREN. That’s a crime-not a joke. Don’t minimize these horrific accusations-Our kids deserve better from all of us.

When I announced I was running for Governor of Virginia, people said they weren’t ready for a Black woman Governor. They told me to wait my turn. But I disagree. I think Virginia is ready. I think America is ready. If you’re ready too, please retweet this far and wide.

I urge everyone to dispose of their used face masks properly and responsibly. Never discard them on the street. When possible, cut the strings on the masks. Wild birds and other animals are getting entangled in discarded masks, and many have died as a result.
