Apocalyptic

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on March 17, 2023 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2023

Now that All Bets Are Off (Apocalyptic Women, Snug Haven #1) is done and released, I was thinking about how much my novels have been a precursor to the types of books I’m focused on writing at the moment (in my solo endeavors.) I’ve been calling them FemFic, hoping this moniker will take off as a hashtag and as a legit category in popular fiction. (I wrote another blog about this here.) Don’t get me started on my views about our current political landscape, and the need for women-empowerment. Fiction is a staunch ally in social change, and I intend … Continue reading →

Also Known as Armchair Detective (AKA 1):
AKA Investigations #1

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on May 12, 2018 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2022

“Simply put, this book was one of the best reads I’ve had in a while. The phrase, ‘I couldn’t put it down’ has lost its significance due to over use, but I’ll say that I couldn’t wait to get into bed at night and get my Baeli fix before falling asleep.”   “This book was a blessing and a curse. -A blessing because it was so satisfying, but a curse because I was sad for it to end. So…I read it once, went back and read “Armchair Detective” again and then read it again. It is a sequel to “Armchair … Continue reading →

Story Book:
(Sister Resisters 2272)

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on August 29, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2022

Sometimes the best decisions are the ones we make when we have no choice. “Kudos to Ms. Baeli! This story is fantastic. Talk about covering some ground (or space) in a short book–this is a prime example of brilliant writing.” “I remembered the history lessons my grandmother gave me, passed down from her mother, and her mother’s mother. How it used to be perfectly acceptable for two of the same gender to mate. All it took was the apathy of the people, and one fascist regime—one started by a man named P. Murt D’lanod—taking over the governing bodies, and all … Continue reading →

Run the Risk:
A Shamrock Cove romance

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on September 17, 2016 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 18, 2022

“…it’s the art of storytelling here that elevates this book above the others and the ability to toss in such a clever plot twist and still have the pieces fall into a cohesive story. Strong characters, witty dialogue, and an intriguing romance will keep you entertained throughout.” ~Amazon Review   On her 50th birthday, in the throes of her first hot flash, Sierra Kipling gets a phone call. The father she has shunned for 23 years has died, leaving her his bar, The Risk, along with a slew of bad feelings. Unhappy in her law career and life in general, … Continue reading →

Random Acts of Blindness

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on March 28, 2014 by Kelli Jae BaeliMay 3, 2022

“This book is well rounded and packed with drama. I wasn’t sure i’d like it at first, as i was foolish enough to think the author was going to take the common route of having the suspicious blond turn out to be evil and wreak havoc on our protagonist. So, i spent the first part of the book on the edge of my seat waiting for the shoe to drop. But that made it all the more enjoyable when i went back and read it a second time, once i knew what was really going on. It’s witty, hot, intelligent, … Continue reading →

Rain Falls (Rain Falls #1)

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on March 27, 2014 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 18, 2023

“If I laugh any harder or more I am going to end up in the hospital. I feel like I can’t breath half the time.” “You can tell within a few pages when the writing is a cut above and it is here. The characters are well-developed, interesting, and very appealing. The dialogue is excellent and the building of the relationship feels realistic not contrived.” India Bell is looking for a regular writing gig to supplement her royalties. She ends up with two assignments – one, to interview up-and-coming lesbian romance writer Tegan Lowry, and the other? To win a … Continue reading →

The Speed of Dark

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 20, 2014 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2022

EXCERPT from Snatched I, Nola Randolph, do solemnly swear that the testimony I am about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me…Sappho. Could be, she’d be uttering words to that effect soon, if things didn’t go according to plan. She couldn’t even enjoy the newspaper anymore. Even when she skipped the society pages, she still found some little tidbit about how Mr. Wallace Blank had done this or that, donated to some charity, or built some new building that brought untold benefits to humankind. He was often … Continue reading →

Somewhere Else

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 20, 2014 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2022

Interesting change of pace May 4, 2017 Although not my preferred subject matter, I decided to give Somewhere Else a try since I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the other books that I’ve read by Kelli Jae Baeli. This book focused on alternative ideas about our existence coupled with Baeli’s trademark wit and humor. This novella was entertaining and opened my mind to that alternative thinking.   5.0 out of 5 starsGood fun By Deanne Kearns on October 25, 2014 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase I hope Kelli Jae Baeli had as much fun writing this book as I did reading … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"The Law of Attraction says that you won't catch a disease unless you are in vibrational harmony with it. So go test that theory by sucking on a chicken pock."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)
