That wasn’t the weirdest thing I’ve ever done in bed–(insert your own off-color comment here).

Samegender Chronicles

Posted on June 17, 2018 by Kelli Jae BaeliJune 17, 2018

Sometimes the best decisions are the ones we make when we have no choice. “Kudos to Ms. Baeli! This story is fantastic. Talk about covering some ground (or space) in a short book–this is a prime example of brilliant writing.” “I remembered the history lessons my grandmother gave me, passed down from her mother, and her mother’s mother. How it used to be perfectly acceptable for two of the same gender to mate. All it took was the apathy of the people, and one fascist regime—one started by a man named P. Murt D’lanod—taking over the governing bodies, and all … Continue reading →

Duct Tape & a Tarp

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong Amusing Story June 1, 2018 What a fun read. The characters are fresh and interesting. The story goes places that you wouldn’t believe, being both dramatic and amusing. This is an excellent read, and I did so in one sitting. Into every life a little rain must fall. Sometimes it’s a sprinkle, and sometimes it’s a deluge. This is the wetter one. Drew Keen is not a People-person. No surprise, she’s lived in the Northwoods for the last decade, living simply and working freelance photography jobs for National Geographic. Finally, the loneliness persuades her to … Continue reading →

Speculative FictionOLD

Posted on February 4, 2018 by Kelli Jae BaeliJune 23, 2019

Fuckering! Story Book had no idea how to pilot a transport ship. The narratives on her reader never taught her such things. But here she was, waking up on one. The trajectory from Pangea to the prison planet, Sintori-5, would have spelled her doom, had the ship not met with some mysterious mishap. She’s alone, except for another surprising prisoner Story finds in the only other remaining suspension pod. She has some decisions to make. Does she rouse the Cephalosapien from the sleep pod? Does she abandon all hope? Maybe just engage in tentacle sex until the food is gone? … Continue reading →

5.0 out of 5 stars i loved it! By Kerry Scott on September 2, 2017 Feralmoans….ha, i loved it!!!! Being someone who reads all the time, this was a nice amusing tale that my favorite author Kelli Jae Baeli wrote with her usually humor and colorful metaphors. The science was understandable, the story line was easy to read with the options of many more tales to come. Makes me want to read Rain Falls again for the 100th time. Thanks for the writing Jae, can’t what to see what you come up with next. 5.0 out of 5 stars Space … Continue reading →

Tristoon the Incorrigible

Posted on August 7, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 9, 2017

After Beowulf, and before Xena, there was Tristoon… (a spoof) “….Then she had made her way back to the Redwood, ushering out the dwarf-people who had taken time out from their incessant cookie-baking to try on her clothes.” From Note to the Reader Hello, Reader, glad to see you reading. Especially something of mine. I hope you’ll do that again with—oh, ALL my work. For now, a few things about Tristoon: It was written in 1984 after I took a British Literature course. I loved the Beowulf story, but found that I kept laughing, because I would see all these … Continue reading →

Venetian Blinds

Posted on August 4, 2017 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 6, 2017

A collection of short fiction by bestselling, genre-hopping indie author, Kelli Jae Baeli, which are, as the author says in her Before Words, “some funny, some strange, some serious, and some even flirt with the Dark Side (where, social media tells me, they have cookies).” She adds, “Populating these stories are an unusual alien; a ghost, Captain Kirk; Beowulf’s spoofy illegitimate warrior-daughter, a violence victim; a stiff, oblivious couple; an estranged daughter; a vengeful girl, a confused young woman; murderous offspring; a frustrated female rookie cop…” None have a common thread or common genre, but all are snippets of the … Continue reading →

Singles

Posted on June 23, 2016 by Kelli Jae BaeliJune 23, 2016

When Molly Peek discovers an extremely odd hotdog during the course of her working day, she has no idea that her knowledge of life, evolution, and whether Earthlings are alone in the universe will be greatly enhanced. For such a small guy, the Teeny Weenie Man sure knows how to make an impact. It was a good day to have all your ideas about the universe and your place in it shot to pieces. You know – bright, reasonably fine, the sun shining, and all that. Not that the weather has anything to do with it. When Molly Peek discovers … Continue reading →
