So there was this whole big box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the counter. And she said she didn’t really care for custard filled doughnuts, and that’s what was left. That box was taking up lots of counter space, just to house that one custard filled doughnut. And it’s not like I’m not on my way to Wal-Mart to buy Metamucil and Slimfast. I have to do that because I have to fit my fat ass into some nice clothes for our relocation information trip to Eureka Springs in a couple weeks. And I can’t show up hoping to apply … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"Another one bites the dust....How can she send me a picture and then walk in the door 20 years older? In my age group, 20 years is a big deal. It means she might show up wearing Depends undergarments."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Quotes for Writers

Favorite Quotes

“When I was in junior high I read a lot of Danielle Steele. So I always assumed that the day I got engaged I'd be naked, covered in rose petals, and sleeping with the brother of the man who'd kidnapped me. And also he'd be a duke. And possibly my stepbrother. Then one of us would get stabbed with a broken whiskey bottle and/or raped. Turns out the only part I was right about was that one of us was going to get stabbed.” ~ Jenny Lawson, Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir

#1 Bestseller! A woman-centered survival story at the start of an apocalypse, with none of the usual damsel-in-distress marmalade.

GA may be #1 place for biz, but we’re #48 in mental health, #2 in uninsured. #1 in maternal mortality & new HIV cases, #9 in gun violence. For too many, Kemp’s Georgia doesn’t include them. Why? Because #KempDoesntCare

As Governor, I’ll lead #OneGeorgia that’s #1 for all of us.
