Sex is Appalling, but Killing is Okay

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 25, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliDecember 8, 2011

Below, is a review posted on Amazon regarding my book, Achilles Forjan. As with the previous post about reviews of Unbearable Lightness of Being UNBEARABLE, it seems there is a tendency for people not to pay attention to what they buy. I added my comment on Amazon below her review… 3.0 out of 5 stars Should have been warned, May 4, 2010 –  By Rachel B. Beard This review is from: Achilles Forjan (Paperback) My grandson wants to be a firefighter. He is a High school junior so I gave him this book for Easter. No where did I read … Continue reading →

The Great Gilgamesh Nut Cow Or, The Great Flood Fib

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 12, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 4, 2013

excerpt from Supernatural Hypocrisy: The Cognitive Dissonance of a God Cosmology Volume 3: Cosmology of the Bible   The Great Gilgamesh Nut Cow Or, The Great Flood Fib “There’s a huge hole in the whole Flood drama, because anything that could float or swim got away scot-free, and it was the idea to wipe out everything, He didn’t say, ‘I will kill  everything, except the floating ones and the swimming ones,  who will get out due to a loophole.’”  ~ Eddie Izzard T he story of the flood is a familiar one to most people. A man is instructed by God to … Continue reading →

Philosophy, Sexual Orientation, Elephants, & Truth

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 12, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 4, 2013

Thought I would share something that got lost in the shuffle a while back: Posted by Kelli Jae Baeli on September 12, 2009 at 8:00pm *from comment thread with Lee…..in attempting a succinct response, I found myself falling into my nature as a writer, and this comment became lengthy. That was a warning for the faint of heart. I cross-posted here, so that someone might be able to read it later, here, if they become overwhelmed with it, there. Smelling salts available.** Lee, thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. I admire philosophers and philosophy majors…it’s fascinating, necessary, but … Continue reading →

Done. Really. I mean it.

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 11, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliFebruary 11, 2011

After I got those proofs mentioned in previous entry, I (naturally) found many things that needed correcting. And more information that needed to be added. It has been feeling like I’ll never be done. But in between the high stress of a certain personal situation, i finally got them done, edited, and sent again. Then after i sent in the final material, decided i still hated the covers, so redesigned them AGAIN. This time, i like them, and that’s the final version. Really.  These volumes were supposed to be available for holiday sales, but the aforementioned stress successfully put an … Continue reading →

Choice Starvation (poem)

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on February 3, 2011 by Kelli Jae BaeliDecember 8, 2011

A glimpse of perfection from stony blindness. Trembling through the tenuous tension of good and evil. Respect me, I am a person, my opinion matters. External motivations are inherently worthless Down the hatch. But it’s only cappuccino Forcing the gates of symbolism, Reflecting tender fears. I hear you calling my name grey moon above, and midnight descends with this poet’s tears.

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"I painted myself into a corner, so now I have to learn how to walk on wet paint."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Quotes for Writers

“Whether a character in your novel is full of choler, bile, phlegm, blood or plain old buffalo chips, the fire of life is in there, too, as long as that character lives.”

Favorite Quotes

If you really want to kill yourself, commit to it! Chew up a thermometer so that if the mercury doesn't get you, the shards of glass will. Eat a bottle of pills, set your hair on fire, jump off a building and shoot yourself in the head on the way down.
