Sturgis and Beyond (Stupid):
Superspreaders Among Us

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on September 26, 2020 by Kelli Jae BaeliSeptember 26, 2020

We are fighting a war on several fronts, and I am no longer being nice. On Twitter, I often use the hashtags #GlovesOff and #NoMoreSnowflakes, because being civil and long-suffering, and accepting of the behaviors of others is a terrible strategy. Now, these behaviors are killing thousands of people. So, no more snowflake for me. Right now, I speak of the war with COVID-19 and stupidity and selfishness. More and more, it seems that Mother Nature is performing a culling. Darwin’s laws of evolution are in full swing, as well. Just to be clear, Survival of the Fittest is not … Continue reading →

Two 2020 Mantras:
Adapt or die, Vote or die

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on May 18, 2020 by Kelli Jae BaeliMay 18, 2020

ADAPT OR DIE. That’s the new mantra. Our world has changed, and don’t you believe for a hot minute the fairy tale that things will go back to “normal.” First, they haven’t been “normal” for the last three-plus years. Second, there is no way they ever will, because too much has changed, and there are things that SHOULD CHANGE. This is a flashpoint. A pivotal point in our history. We can take the opportunity now to implement all those things that got bogged down in various sociopolitical quicksands, and create a brighter future for us all. Or we can fuck … Continue reading →

The First Thanksgiving

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on November 24, 2016 by Kelli Jae BaeliSeptember 25, 2017

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, let’s remember that the holiday is based on a lie, and to celebrate it differently. Be thankful for our gifts and blessings, but never forget the true history. Let’s keep the atrocities happening now at Standing Rock in mind. Let’s also remember that unless we are full-blooded Native American, we ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS. The First Thanksgiving It Didn’t Happen That Way Let me begin by stating that thousands of years before the ‘official’ Thanksgiving Day was proclaimed by Governor Winthrop of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1637, North American Indigenous people across the continent … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"I now have a bone spur on each shoulder. I think I might be sprouting wings."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

Is it just me, or is something wrong with Al Franken? Saw him on Stephanie Ruhl tonight. He seems off, like his brain isn't functioning. I've never seen him like that. Does he have a health issue?
