Teeny Weenie Man

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on September 5, 2014 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 17, 2022

A completely believable story. “Combines elements of science, laugh out loud humor, alien contact with Earthians, and pull-at-your-heartstrings type moments.” When Molly Peek discovers an extremely odd hotdog during the course of her working day, she has no idea that her knowledge of life, evolution, and whether Earthlings are alone in the universe will be greatly enhanced. For such a small guy, the Teeny Weenie Man sure knows how to make an impact. It was a good day to have all your ideas about the universe and your place in it shot to pieces. You know – bright, reasonably fine, … Continue reading →

Hybrid Methodology

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on December 20, 2013 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 26, 2015

(and 3 New Books for the Holidays) I have just completed three books, and am going to make my deadline to get them out for holiday sales. One is a standalone novel in the Crime/Vigilante vein: Another Justice. One is the 5th in the AKA Investigations Series, titled, Also Known as Sleepy Cat Peak, and the other is an anthology of Bold Erotic Stories called The Speed of Dark. The Vigilante one was difficult, in many ways, the erotic anthology, I had been writing in between other projects for some time now; and I was surprised and thrilled that the … Continue reading →

Muse Recovery & Descriptive Prose

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on November 27, 2013 by Kelli Jae BaeliAugust 26, 2015

{dusting off the blog}. It’s been a while since my last entry. I was busy with moving back from New Zealand to Denver area, to prepare a life for me and my Sweetie, and we have of course been missing each other desperately, and spending lots of time online Skyping and Typing. And I had to get settled for a while, so I can work out the other plans on the horizon. I am currently residing in an extended stay suite and will probably be here for a while, so i have been trying to climb back on the writing-horse … Continue reading →

House of Escher

Kelli Jae Baeli Posted on December 6, 2007 by Kelli Jae BaeliMarch 8, 2013

(from Brainmatter: Essays, Narrative & Short Fiction by Kelli Jae Baeli) “Where are the stairs?” She made a derisive sound. “Oh, you don’t want to take the stairs.” I woke in a strange bed, in a strange room, the previous night of drinking leaving me with a tongue that felt swollen, and an overwhelming need for a drink of water. My friends had obviously carried me from the car to this bed sometime in the night. I sat up, my head swimming. Where am I? The last thing I remembered was sitting in the back seat of Casey’s old Bonneville, … Continue reading →

Quotes from Kelli Jae Baeli

"I refuse to enter a wet T-shirt contest until my breasts look more like breasts, and less like something I should tuck into my pants."

Politics Quotes

"People feel removed from sexism. 'I'm not a sexist, but I'm not a feminist.' They think there's this fuzzy middle ground. There's no fuzzy middle ground. You either believe that women are people or you don't. It's that simple." (Joss Whedon)

My wife just said, "The most dangerous animal on the planet is a--"
And I interjected, like I'm on Jeopardy,"What is a white Republican man?"
{buzzer sound} "No. The most dangerous animal on the planet is an angry woman with nothing left to lose." #GenderWar #WarOnWomen

One tree was cut years ago and the big one has been holding onto and feeding it ever since.
They "wake up" together in the spring and "go to sleep" together in the autumn.🌳

I keep seeing these, so I made my own.

It is quite telling - women don’t appear to be the ones who are the “emotional” gender.
